Hola a todos, he estado buscando informacion a mi problema y no he encontrado nada, a lo q voy, soy nuevo en linux, recientemente me he comprado un compaq presario C700, con 3 G de memoria ram y 160G de disco duro con el vista instalado, pues bien le he instalado el  linux mint 5 compartido con vista, la cosa es q cuando arranco el portatil con vista me sigue funcionando todo correctamente pero si lo arranco con linux no me funciona el wifi, (atheros 5007) no estoy seguro si es q no me reconoce la tarjeta o es q me faltan los drivers o no esta bien configurada, la cosa es q no tengo como conectarme a internet por lo q no puedo actualizar ni nada, a ver si hay alguien q sepa como solucionar este problemilla porque soy totalmente novato, encontre unos drivers pero no se ni como instalarlos. Tambien intente ponerlo todo en español y tambien me sae un mensaje de error, por lo demas creo q me funciona bien.

Gracias didier por tu respuesta, pero soy muy torpe, resulta q me da error al intentar desmarcar o marcar la opcion del gestor de controladores restringuidos, es mas ni siquiera puedo actualizar nada lo q no se si es porque no tengo acceso a internet, lo q me sale abajo es el candado roto. Lo q si me ha pasado es q he reiniciado de todas formas y el escritorio se me quedo totalmente en negro, no se si eso es normal.

Gracias por tu respuesta Darkmiguel, pero ese archivo ya me lo baje desde este equipo, per si es cierto q no tengo internet en el portatil, por eso tanto lio, y no me actualiza ni naday el enlace q me dejastes no puedo abrirlo, asi q sigo igual q al principio.

   mmmmh, haz ./configure y make antes de hacer make install, creo que tal vez saltaste este paso.

         

creeis q si lo intento por cable directamente al router se conectara a la red? y asi atualizar a ver si de esa forma me funciona? o de lo contrario si no la encuentra de una forma no la encontrara de otra?

Tengo internet pero no wifi, y instale linux en el portatil por el wifi, alguien podria ayudarme please??
